Cross-Contamination
Take one GliadinX capsule right before a meal when the food or the utensils could possibly be cross-contaminated with gluten. One GliadinX capsule can neutralize approximately 0.9 g of gluten.

Gluten Sensitivity
When GliadinX is taken for gluten sensitivity and not for a doctor prescribed gluten-free diet, adults and children usually learn quickly to estimate how many capsules they need to take for a certain amount of food in order to avoid symptoms. Importantly, some non-celiac gluten sensitivities are not caused by the gliadin protein. For those, GliadinX will not be effective.

Can't swallow capsules?
GliadinX capsules are intended to be swallowed. If swallowing capsules is not an option, it is possible to open the capsules and pour the content into any carbonated drink. Stir the powder thoroughly in the liquid before drinking. While the efficacy remains the same, let’s just say it might not be your favorite tasting drink!

Maximum Dosage
The maximum dosage of GliadinX capsules has not been established. The enzyme contained in GliadinX is a protease, a class of enzymes naturally produced in the stomach to break down proteins. Protease enzymes are considered very safe even in large amounts.

Camp and School
As enzymes breaking down gluten are relatively new, school or camp medical professionals may not be familiar with GliadinX. Please encourage them to read the clinical research publications listed on this website and to learn how GliadinX breaks down gliadin, a reactive component of gluten. While GliadinX is a food grade, over-the-counter dietary supplement and not a prescription drug, some camps and schools might still insist on a note from a physician.

Accidental Gluten Consumption
GliadinX is not intended to replace a physician prescribed gluten-free diet, yet accidental consumption of gluten can happen. Refer to the table below to help estimate the amount of ingested gluten and determine the number of GliadinX capsules to take. (Err on the side of caution: Take more rather than less!) If not possible to estimate, and a larger amount of gluten was accidentally consumed, take 10 capsules as soon as possible, preferably within one hour of ingesting gluten while the gluten is still in the stomach. If gluten-related symptoms are already noticeable, GliadinX can still be taken, but may no longer be effective.
Dosage for Accidental Gluten Consumption
GliadinX is not intended to replace a gluten-free diet. Should larger accidental gluten consumption occur, this chart acts as a guidance of how many capsultes to take if available within 15 - 30 minutes of consumption, or while the gluten is still in the stomach and before it reaches the small intestine. Amounts can vary depending on portion size and ingredients.
It can be challenging to determine how much gluten is contained in different types of food and a more complete chart is being developed. It is recommended to overestimate rather than underestimate the number of capsules.
